We Are Green!

Ranger Moving Systems Inc. is dedicated to keeping our beautiful country clean and green. Here's how:

Our Business

We rely on our fleet to move you across Canada and make sure that your belongings remain safe. We routinely test our trucks to ensure that they are running efficiently. Once they reach a certain mileage they are sold or used for local moving work.

Our Equipment

We use quilted furniture blankets to wrap your household belongings. These are Sanitized® and cleaned on a regular basis. Once they have become too worn to wrap furniture they are used for wrapping items such as garden tools.

All of our cartons contain recycled material and are 100% recyclable. The Kraft paper used to pack your belongings is also 100% recyclable.

Our Workplace

We are working towards a paperless system.

Online programs have also been introduced throughout our office, with every employee utilizing the system. Our Staff can enter notes and share information online, track shipments and communicate with each other across the country. Our customers can also take advantage of the online system by requesting a quote, completing a survey and submitting a claim when necessary on our website.

The staff of Ranger Moving Systems works hard to contribute to an environmentally friendly workplace. We recycle cans and bottles, paper and printer cartridges.

Quick Tips:

  • If you plan ahead you may be able to save money by obtaining cartons from other sources such as friends who have recently moved and/or stores. Starting to collect cartons a month or two prior to your move will probably make it possible to obtain enough cartons.

  • Put heavier items such as books in small boxes, and pack light items such as linens and towels in larger boxes. Don't overload; you should be able to easily pick up every box.

  • Taping the bottom of cartons before filling them prevents the contents from spilling out the bottom during the move and always place the heavier items at the bottom and the lighter items on top to prevent damage.

  • Flammable liquids and aerosol cans must not be packed. Changes in temperature and pressure can cause them to leak, or even explode. For your own protection, you should know that if you pack these items and they cause damage to your shipment or others, you, not your mover, may be held liable.

  • Cushion contents all of your boxes with packing material such as bubble wrap, newspaper or tissue paper. Save room by using towels and blankets to wrap fragile items.

  • Don't ship expensive jewelry, photos, family heirlooms and other sentimental items. Pack them carefully and take them with you, either in the car or on the plane.

  • Use strong boxes and containers that can be secured tightly. Pick up special boxes for dishes, wardrobe and other special items.
