Logistics
Not all household moves involve a straightforward “pack up the boxes” relocation from door to door.
You may have a grand piano that requires specialized packing and transportation.
Maybe you have items that need to be stored—either permanently or temporarily—which means you may have insurance considerations.
Perhaps your move is taking you out of the country? In that case, there will be customs details to attend to.
Ranger has the experience to handle all your logistical needs which frees you up to spend your time where you’re needed most—helping your family through the moving experience.

Quick Tips:
-
If you plan ahead you may be able to save money by obtaining cartons from other sources such as friends who have recently moved and/or stores. Starting to collect cartons a month or two prior to your move will probably make it possible to obtain enough cartons.
-
Put heavier items such as books in small boxes, and pack light items such as linens and towels in larger boxes. Don't overload; you should be able to easily pick up every box.
-
Taping the bottom of cartons before filling them prevents the contents from spilling out the bottom during the move and always place the heavier items at the bottom and the lighter items on top to prevent damage.
-
Flammable liquids and aerosol cans must not be packed. Changes in temperature and pressure can cause them to leak, or even explode. For your own protection, you should know that if you pack these items and they cause damage to your shipment or others, you, not your mover, may be held liable.
-
Cushion contents all of your boxes with packing material such as bubble wrap, newspaper or tissue paper. Save room by using towels and blankets to wrap fragile items.
-
Don't ship expensive jewelry, photos, family heirlooms and other sentimental items. Pack them carefully and take them with you, either in the car or on the plane.
-
Use strong boxes and containers that can be secured tightly. Pick up special boxes for dishes, wardrobe and other special items.
